High-Rise Kitchen With a Splash of Color - Showpiece Kitchen and Bath

A high-rise condominium can be a challenge for space. Solution: eliminate a wall oven, install a microwave drawer and range and you get 30″ more of much needed elbow room.

A raised countertop and smaller window was expanded which allowed for one seamless countertop that has plenty of room on the other side for eating. We trimmed this off with a 3″ mitered edge countertop on the bar side making for one large beautiful marble countertop.

Our client loves artwork and like her exquisite art collection, she wanted some the right splash of color in her kitchen. We found a beautiful 4″ ceramic tile from Walker Zanger, Studio Moderne, Petit Imperial Pattern 4″ ceramic tile on the backsplash in Ming Blue. This wonderful pattern combines texture, color and elegance in every 4×4″ piece.

Another step in this project was to eliminate two angled walls, expanding the space and adding much needed cabinetry and a wine cooler. An amazing 78″ of cabinetry and countertop was added and provided a nice wide wall for some beautiful artwork.

Last but not least is the cabinet color which compliments the beautiful marble countertop. While there are so many wonderful engineered products, it’s tough to be Mother Nature. Marble certainly has it’s laborious traits, each slab is like an artist’s design only better. It’s absolutely superb.
